Accenture Adds Market Leading Talent
In a press release, management consulting company Accenture announced that it would be acquiring Meredith Xcelerated Marketing, a content agency focused on integrated marketing, creative execution and direct-to-consumer marketing.
This acquisition represents a tidal shift in the way Accenture conducts its content marketing strategy. By utilizing MXM’s content creation and customer engagement capabilities, Accenture will be able to bolster its data and content offerings and in turn, make significant strides in its journey to create new and exciting customer experiences.
MXM has found enormous success in developing content strategies for numerous recognizable brands including Barilla, Kraft Heinz, Lowe’s, Volkswagen, and WebMD. They bring superior data and analytical skills to Accenture and will undoubtedly help bolster their data-led marketing execution strategy. MXM President Georgine Anton states,
“The combination of Accenture Interactive and MXM will be powerful in the market, plus the depth of their offerings will deepen our capabilities, enabling us to better serve both existing and new clients. As part of the deal, Accenture will also expand its studio locations into key markets, including Dallas, Des Moines, Iowa, Detroit, Los Angeles, New York, and Washington DC.
Accenture Continues Acquisition Streak

Competition has never been tighter in the realm of content marketing and Accenture Interactive is doing everything they can to maintain its winning streak. By aligning with skilled industry favorites, the company has a chance to bolster its creative strategies in order to secure new clients and hold on to existing ones.
Both Accenture and MXM have stated that they are excited about the acquisition. Jeannine Falcone, marketing offering lead, North America, Accenture Interactive states,

Accenture and MXM’s alignment will further set Accenture apart from the competition and MXM will have a home where it can offer clients innovative integrated solutions. The two like-minded companies will close the acquisition within 60 days. Terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed.
